Plans change, people change -- After being pressured by Texas Methodist University (TMU), Coach Taylor (Kyle Chandler) makes a rash decision that disrupts his future at Dillon and upsets the women in his life. While Coach Taylor deals with changes in his career, Riggins (Taylor Kitsch) deals with his new inappropriate relationship with the single mother next door.
Coach Taylor buckles under the pressure from Texas Methodist University. The news of his decision is not taken lightly by his family. Riggins faces the impending consequences of his relationship. Landry wonders whether he should tell someone about Tyra's situation. Waverly tells Smash that he should have 'fun' while he's at state, but Smash might not pick up on that. Jason and Suzy grow closer to each other, jeopardizing the relationship between Jason and Lyla. And Jackie tells Tim she can't see him anymore.
- Eric: We done fighting?
- Tami: Uh huh.
- Eric: I love you. I respect you. I am proud of you. I am in love with you completely. I'm sorry for the way all this happened. (pause) I'll tell you what, though. Austin is going to be good to this family.
- Tami: I know it is, but, baby, I'm not going to Austin. I can't here leave now.
- Landry: (to Tyra) But for some reason, I really just think that there's a guy out there that'll show up sober, that'll listen to you when you talk, that'll actually, you know, respect your opinions and actually take care of you and recognize you for the smart and beautiful and caring woman that you are, Tyra.
